Continuing along with my Top Three Spring.. theme, I decided to do lipsticks! You can check out what l chose for polish here . My lips have been so dry and sore lately, so sadly I’ve been using a tonne of lip balm, but let’s discuss my three picks!

As you can probably tell from the photos I like pink/red type lipsticks, but I am branching out. These are my favourite colour shades for Spring though. The three are from different ends of the spectrum too, so I have one that cost less than €2 to one that cost €22 so I don’t stick to either high street or high end.

Firstly there is one from Avon now I forget what the type of lipstick this is, I got it ages ago but I do know it’s in the shade Peach Peck it’s a beautiful peachy colour, it’s really buildabe so you can have it really bright or just sheer on your lips. It does have a bit of shimmer, but it’s not over the top, it’s quite subtle. The lipstick itself has a good consistency, it’s really smooth and glides on my lips. It does have a good staying power, but with lipsticks, it does need to be topped up once in a while! Overall I think this is a perfect colour for Spring because it’s so light, it brightens up your make up!

Next we have a MAC lipstick in Creme Cup. as I’ve said multiple times on this blog I’ve wanted it for ages and I’ve had it since January but pinks are my favourite colour for everything so I adore this. I’d wear it every single day of my life. It’s a beautiful pink colour, have I said that enough? It’s not shimmery and not matte either. It has the most beautiful consistency and lasts ages. I am in love with this lipstick! It goes with everything and is just so perfect for this time of year.

Lastly from the bunch is from MUA and is in the shade Touch Up. This is a nude colour and isn’t too dark yet isn’t too bright. I think a good nude lip looks lovely, especially if you’re brightening your blush or eyeshadow colours, you don’t want to look like a clown! This is also not shimmery or matte, it’s just nice. The consistency is again, brilliant and it lasts long too! It glides on my lips hassle free, and if it wears off, no one really notices!

I hope you guys like the three colours I’ve chosen! What are you’re favourite colour lipsticks for Spring?

Thanks for reading. ‘Til next post!

Aussie Miracle Hair Insurance

DSCN0508

Aussie’s Miracle Hair Insurance Leave in Conditioner is something I’ve incorporated into my hair care routine. My hair is quite annoying as my roots get extremely oily and then my ends can get so dry. It’s hard to get the balance to treat both the issues! I was a bit sceptical about trying out a leave in conditioner because of this, but I find concentrating this on my mid lengths and ends, trying to avoid going near my scalp at all, it works fine for me.

This leave in conditioner claims to be a saviour for weak, distressed hair. I wouldn’t say my hair is weak but distressed it could be classed as. My ends get so freaking dry and I hardly use heat products on it so it’s just my hair type. So the bottle says “With Australian Jojoba Oil, Our unique formula, with a drop of Australian Jojoba seed oil, detangles and helps to protect your hair from everyday wear and tear.” I try not to was my hair every single day, although sometimes it has to be done, but when I do wash my hair I always use this afterwards.

The smells from this bottle is amazing, you can smell it through the cap! Aussie products always have incredible scents so I knew this product would be no different. Its just so fruity and lush and not too overpowering. I’d say in the summer with the heat this stuff smells amazing!

For directions you pretty much spray this into towel dried hair, concentrating where you need it most. As I’ve said it’s m mid lengths and ends that especially need this product. You then comb your hair and this does an amazing job at detangling your hair, the comb just slides through it. And obviously you don’t rinse it out!

I truly adore this product. My hair has been in such good condition since adding this into my routine. I do use argan oil on the very ends of my hair also, but that’s just for the dryness. It really does help t protect my hair and I’ve noticed a lot less split ends and damage from styling since using this.It has also made my hair super soft, it’s hard not to run my fingers through the ends sometimes!

I bought it on sale for around 3.50EURO I think in Tesco but at Boots you can get it for 5.79EURO . It’s definitely worth the price, I don’t think it’s expensive. Because you don’t need a huge amount a little does go a long way!

Scrub Your Nose in It & No Clogs Allowed Review

Image

I think I’ll start with Scrub Your Nose in It as it’s the product that many people would use first, I think.  So, as the name suggests it’s a facial scrub for oily/combination skin, with a special pore refining formula. It contains superfruit yuzu and d-clog micromud. Basically, you dampen you t-zone, or your whole face if you’d like. Then you rub the scrub on in circular motions and leave for two minutes. It doesn’t have a hard, abrasive formula which is nice. You can really feel the deep cleansing action of this facial scrub when you leave it on, which is satisfying because you know that it’s working. After the two minutes is up, you wash it off, and then apply moisturizer. I personally saw this product working from the first time I used it. I noticed that I had a lot less clogged pores on my forehead than before.

I follow up with No Clogs Allowed facial mask. Its described as a “Super self heating deep pore detox mask”. To use this product, you take a grape sized amount and rub it on to your face. Then you wet your hands and scrub until the mask turns blue and begins heating. You then leave it for five minutes. I never got a shade of blue that stood out, it was a more subtle shade, so perhaps I was using it wrong, who knows? You can feel how deep down into your pores it goes, and it tingles. It feels really silky on your face. After five minutes, wash it off with a warm wet washcloth. And your face comes out SO SMOOTH! It feels extremely nice and is so worth the price.

I use the two products together because I have oily/combination skin, and you really notice that if you have clogged pores or blackheads that these two products clean them out so well, without being too harsh on your skin.
