Urban Decay All Nighter*

I was treated by my boyfriend to some Urban Decay goodies which surprised me. He’s never bought make up before so I was impressed.

I had never tried setting sprays before so I was so excited to try this. It is the travel sized bottle and I already know I’m going to buy the bigger bottle when this is all gone.

The packaging says it’s long lasting, oil free, paraben free and temperature control It definitely is long lasting I can vouch for that. Temperature control I’m not too sure about right now, but I’m willing to wait and see. I do have really oily skin and this keeps my make up on way longer than just my primer does.

It says to use this after applying make up, but I use it both before I apply my primers and then after I apply my full face of make up. You just have to shake up the bottle, and spray on. It says use x and t motions but I just spray all over my face.

There’s no particular scent which is good and it doesn’t leave any sore of sticky or greasy residue on your face which I am so thankful for. I was kind of scared when I first used this, because after the first time my face was wet and I was so confused but when it dried it was like magic!

I’m so impressed with this and would be willing to try a drugstore alternative, do any of you have any suggestions?

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter

I am also aware how late I am onto the Colorburst bandwagon but I had to give them ago. Like I mentioned before in my last Revlon review, I wanted more neutral colours, rather than just straight out pink. There wasn’t a great selection of the Colorburst lip butters in my local Boots, but I did fall in love with shade 095 Creme Brûlée

This is a great neutral colour, which doesn’t make it look as I’d you’ve smeared concealer or foundation across your lips. It’s quite a subtle colour, but it is noticeable and definitely buildable.

I know you’ve probably ready 5000000000 reviews of these so I’m gonna keep as short and simple as I can. The lip butters are really moisturising on the lips, the don’t dry out at all. I have been wearing a lip balm underneath however because my lips have been super dry. They have good lasting power and don’t fade off leaving a weird ring around the outside of your lips. As with most lip products, reapplying after you’ve eaten is a must.

I like to wear mine to work especially because it’s a really good lip product to just whack on as you’re going in the door and not have to worry about until your break.

It’s a colour which I’d feel would go really great with all skin tones!

What’s your recommendations for the next Colorburst lip butter I need to try?

Macadamia Oil Extract Body Butter

I’m quite particular when it comes to moisturising my body. I always use a body butter and when you don’t live close to a Body Shop they aren’t as easy to come by. I found this in a bargain shop in our shopping centre for €2 and it’s the best €2 I’ve spent in a long time.

This body butter is part of their macadamia oil extract range which I have been enjoying. It says it “revitalises, nourishes and hydrates” the skin and it does. It’s the quality of a body shop body butter but a fraction of the cost.

I slather it on every evening and after my shower and it’s so thick and luxurious you wouldn’t think it was as cheap as it is. My skin drinks this stuff up and it hydrates it and keeps it hydrated something I was struggling to find I other body butters. It softens knees and elbows amazingly which I need.

The consistency is thick, so a little goes a long way and I’ve been using this every day for three weeks now. It’s so nice to lather into your skin and when you leave it that little bit not rubbed it, when it soaks in it’s even better. Your skin is left smooth and hydrated.

The scent is amazing. It smells kind of exotic, it reminds me of going on holidays and it lingers on the skin for a bit, but isn’t too overpowering so when you’re putting on perfume it’s just a subtle under scent.

I need to stock up on more of these body butters soon!

Miracle Hair Insurance

I always try to use a leave in conditioner because the ends of my hair get so extremely dry, even when I’m not using heat on them. I decided to give Aussies Miracle Hair Insurance a go because it is a bit ore intense than the one I had been previously using, especially since I had been out in the sun.

I use the leave in conditioner mainly concentrated at the ends of my hair, but I do tend to go up the mid lengths also. I use a comb to evenLy disperse it through my hair.

The conditioner says it de tangles and protects and it does! My hair is so much more easy to take after my shower when I use this and my ends have never been softer. It really protects them and prevents them from splitting.

It’s a really lightweight conditioner and it doesn’t weigh down your hair or leave it feeling sticky. As I only use it on the ends and lengths,, it doesn’t make it more any more greasy which I’m always wary of.

As with all Aussie products the scent of this is amazing and when you use it and it’s sunny, the heat intensifies the smell and you just smell drop deep amazing.

I really love this conditioner and recommend it to anyone with weak, distressed hair that needs a bit of TLC.

Bourjois Paris Little Round Pot Eyeshadow

I needed a good neutral shadow shade for all over my lid and whilst browsing I cam across this little gem. I bought the shade 05 and it’s kind of hard to explain. It’s a kind of cream/pink/pearl colour.

It’s a mineral eyeshadow, so when it’s applied with a slightly wet brush, it gives a lot more pigmentation than when it’s applied normally. It’s really nice applied both ways however. I use a fluffy brush to blend it all in.

There is a slight bit of fallout with this product but the finished looks really makes it worth it! It beans really nicely with other colours and is really nice to apply all over the lid.

It has good lasting power, but I wouldn’t say as good as Urban Decay does. I think with a better eyeshadow primer, this eyeshadow would last a lot longer on my eyes.

I can’t wait to try more of these eyeshadows in the future!

L’OREAL Skin Perfection Purifying Gel Wash

As always, I was looking for a new face wash. I did want to repurchase the Garnier one that I had been using but couldn’t find it and this. Toggle caught my eye. Since. I love the skin perfecting miracle cleansing oil, I thought I’d give this one a go.

It’s a purifying gel wash for combination to oily skin. It says it Removes impurities, helps unblock pores and reveals fresh clean skin

I use this wash both morning and night and it does feel really nice on the skin. It lather up so easily and you only need a small bit as a little goes a long way. It gives your skin a deep cleanse, without being too harsh.

It has helped to clear up my skin, but at the moment I’m having a really bad breakout which is upsetting. It has really helped control the oils on my face too, which I find is necessary with facial products.

It does leave your skin feeling fresh and clean and works really well for it’s price!

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick

I wanted some new lipsticks, but I’m a different colour to pink so I opted to try out this nudey pinky cour from Revlon. It’s called 354!cappuccino

I love the packaging of this lipstick, it doesn’t look cheap at all. It looks really chic, especially taking it out of your handbag, it makes you feel fancier!

It’s a shimmery nudey, pink which goes gorgeous with a tan and a smokey eye. It’s a really nice colour to wear to work as it doesn’t dry out, so when it begins to wear off you don’t have that dreaded circle around the edge of your lips.

It’s so silky and smooth it’s so nice to apply. It feels moisturising on your lips and as I mentioned previously it doesn’t dry them out whatsoever.

It has good lasting power, but like most lipsticks would need to be touched up after eating.

I’m really glad I picked this one up and I can’t wait to try more lipsticks from this range soon!

Make Your Mark

I have really been enjoying experimenting with eyeliner pens, as they are a lot easier to do winged liner looks with than gel. I have been using the Seventeen Precision Eyeliner Pen a lot lately.

This pen can give you various different looks depending on how you use it. The lines can also go from thin to thick whichever side you use to draw them and how heavy a hand you use.

The colour payoff is really good with this eyeliner and when it dries it stays black, unlike some which dry to a dark grey colour. So,you don’t really need to do loads of coats of this. It dries quite quickly, but it isn’t tough to edit any mistakes after applying.

It’s waterproof too, which is a must in eyeliners for me because I have such watery eyes!

Do you enjoy using eyeliner pens?

Collection Volumising Mascara

As all my mascaras were getting old, I needed a new one. I am quite particular with mascaras so I didn’t want to try something different but I did. I ventured into the world of Collection mascaras and I have to say, I’m impressed.

I bought the Volumising Mascara which says “Extra volume, waterproof” which is a pretty straightforward explanation. I got the shade 17 Ultra Black which I forgot to photograph, sorry!

I really like the mascara. It’s really waterproof, and survived through The Fault in Our Stars so it must be good! It is quite black, so you don’t need layers upon layers to achieve the black intensity.

The brush is really nice, I prefer the plastic type brushes to the ones with fibres as I feel they volumise and separate the lashes a lot better. This brush is no exception. Even after one layer of this mascara it gives that oomph that I look for and sometimes, if I wear two coats people ask if I’m wearing false lashes or extensions!

It’s such a good budget mascara and I think everyone should check it out!

Max Factor Colour Adapt Foundation

As I’ve said in my June Monthly Favourites I needed a new foundation for when I got that bit more tanned. I ventured to Boots when this one caught my eye. The lady, who was so helpful kept matching to my face, which is always slightly paler than my body. Which wasn’t what I wanted!

I ended up getting the shade 75 -Golden which when I first applied to my face freaked me out a little, because it was so much darker!

The foundation says it evens skin tone and blends away imperfections. Because I always used a matte foundation I was a bit weary but this foundation is my new love.

It gives really good coverage and does blend over imperfections, it makes you look as if your skin is flawless which mine definitely isn’t. I use a flat kabuki to apply this to my face and I just buff it in and it blends seamlessly into the skin and never leaves any streaks or lines. Although it is amazing coverage,it feels as if you have nothing on your skin which is amazing!

What I love about this foundation is that it adapts to your skin colour so even when it is blended it gives me the most perfect colour to match the rest of my body.

The lasting power is great, even through sweat this foundation stays on. Even when it does start to wear off it doesn’t look patchy or blotchy whatsoever so that’s an added bonus.

I cannot say enough good things about this foundation!
